Marina Vernicos was born and raised in Athens, Greece. She studied Communications and Photography at the Emerson College of Boston and Business Administration at the Harvard Extension School.
Following her participation in her first group exhibition in 2001, she has showcased a number of individual and group exhibitions in distinguished galleries and museums in Athens, Museum of Cycladic Art, in Paris, Museum of Louvre and Eiffel Tower, in Korea, Hangaram Art Museum, London, Monaco, New York. Her work can also be seen in distinguished hotels such as: Amanzoe and Nikki Beach Hotel in Greece.
Further to her exhibition work, she has also published four books.
Her first book “Through the lens of time”, was published in 2004. A photo
from her second book “Antarctica”, which was published in 2009, won
the first prize by the National Geographic in the category of “Nature”. Her
third book titled “235” was published in 2011 and the fourth book “My
Acropolis” was issued in 2012.
